Addiction is such a debilitating illness. It leaves you so stuck and impedes growth. But if we can get you through that, everything in your life will get better and improve dramatically and quickly. The life that you can have is so much bigger, fuller, richer. I think that’s something that people who are in that stuck place really need to hear. You can get better, there is hope — I’ve seen it happen so many times.
My Story
With a background in communication, I’ve always been captivated by human relationships and the ways we connect with each other. After spending nearly a decade as an Administrative Assistant, where my role was predominantly filled with paperwork, I found myself yearning for a more direct interaction with people. This desire led me to pursue a Master of Social Work at The Ohio State University, setting me on the path to become a Clinical Social Worker.
I am passionate about joining every client on their unique recovery journey. With 11 years of experience treating people struggling with addictions along with co-occurring mental health diagnoses; including anxiety, depression and trauma I love working with adults of all ages, backgrounds, sexual orientations, and especially young adults, mothers, individuals, and couples.
My practice is built on a foundation of techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and trauma-informed care. I take great joy in learning the unique stories of each of my clients of all ages over 18. I have a particular passion for assisting young adults as they navigate the challenging transitions through college and into early adulthood.
