Meet Our Team
Nick Gomulinski, LISW-S, RN
(He/Him/His)
My approach is free flowing, open and sometimes direct in a soft way. I want people not to experience stigma and hopefully feel a little better each time they come in. I believe in positive connection, a relational dynamic and reciprocal bond. People need to be comfortable before they can trust.
My Story
I’m from Michigan, which is where I obtained both my undergraduate and graduate degrees before moving to Ohio. I have since obtained a registered nurse (RN) license from Ohio State University, while in their graduate-entry nurse practitioner (NP) program which will conclude in May of 2027.
With this concurrently progresses, I have remained passionate about and committed to behavioral health therapy. I think the RN experience & NP education has given me a unique lens to see the biological aspects of trauma, anxiety, depression, addictions and other issues in conjunction with the social aspects.
My experience includes work with adolescents and families, as well as nearly 8 years working in an all-male prison.
I believe the positive connection and constructive feedback between client and therapist is the foundation to successful treatment. To foster this, I lean on DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), DBT-PE (DBT-Prolonged Exposure), Family Systems therapy, and informal components of Play Therapy.
I’m intensively trained in DBT and DBT-PE. Sessions with me will have structure but it’s not rigid, we can flow freely as needed. I’m always open to feedback on how I can improve as a therapist. That’s kind of the beginning and the end — “What can I do better?”
